We act for clients who are involved in buying and/or selling residential property. This includes freehold and leasehold properties, whether the title is registered or unregistered. We also deal with transfers of equity.
We are on the approved panel of all the main commercial lenders and can therefore deal with re-mortgages on your behalf.
We are able to give you advice on letting property and will supply you with suitable tenancy agreements and take care of serving the necessary notices. We deal with long leaseholds to include leasehold enfranchisement.

We act for both commercial landlords and tenants in the completion of business leases and the termination of business tenancies, to include serving the notices required by the Landord & Tenant Act 1954. We buy and sell businesses for clients, from small shops to shopping centres and from public houses to hotels. We also regularly act for clients in the sale and purchase of residential care homes.
We are able to advise you on the employment law and licensing issues that often arise in the buying and selling of businesses.

We act for clients in applying to Court for Possession Orders both in respect of residential and commercial property. These claims may be based on arrears of rent or other breaches of covenant. |

Mental Incapacity, Court of Protection and Enduring Powers of Attorney |
We act in the winding up of estates after death to include obtaining probate where it is cost effective for us to do so. We also act as professional executors where appropriate, and give general advice on what to do when someone dies.

We make applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of Receivers and indeed are on the Public Guardianship Office Panel of Professional Receivers. This includes applications to Court to make Statutory Wills. We also prepare Enduring Powers of Attorney. |

We represent clients who have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act 1983 and are on the Law Society's Mental Health Panel. This includes representation at Mental Health Tribunals as well as other problems arising from mental ill health or mental impairment and community care.
We are members of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. |
We regularly challenge estates, under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975, on behalf of clients who are eligible claimants and for whom reasonable provision has not been made under a Will. We also challenge the validity of Wills where appropriate. |

We act for both men and women in divorce. We deal with the procedural requirements of divorce, the arrangements for any children of the family and of course the financial aspect of the divorce. We aim to finalise a divorce as quickly and cost effectively as possible, with a view to working constructively with the other party but always ensuring that the client receives the best divorce settlement they can.
We act for non-married partners who are separating in finalising the financial arrangements between them and the dissolution of Civil Partnerships.

We act for clients in disputes concerning children to include applying for or defending applications for Contact Orders, Residence Orders, Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders. We also act for clients in Care Proceedings or Emergency Protection Order Applications commenced by the local authorities, whether they are a parent or another interested party. |

We advise clients in respect of claims for financial relief, particularly in respect of property, under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 and under the Trusts of Land & Appointment of Trustees Act 1996. We prepare Parental Responsibility Agreements, Pre-Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Contracts and Separation Agreements.

We act for clients in making claims for compensation arising out of accidents, in particular road traffic accidents, accidents at work and tripping.
Any accident claim we take on will be on a Conditional Fee Agreement (more commonly known as "No Win No Fee") and successful claimants will keep all their compensation. We shall ensure that our fees are paid by the Defendant's insurer.

Education law is currently one of the fastest growing areas of law. We are able to act for parents and schools in a variety of education law issues including school bullying and disability discrimination.
In particular we are able to advise on appealing in respect of admissions, representing clients in Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunals and assisting clients in obtaining a SEN statement for their child.
We are also able to offer advise to schools on meeting the latest Education law statutes and initiatives.
